Kevin enjoyed sailing and was a computer genius. He had a unique ability to repair anything involving electronics.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Charles George and Catherine Louise (nee Iven) Schaeffer; maternal grandparents, Clement and Christina (nee Busch) Iven; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Rosa Schaeffer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Connie Cates; nephew, Dylan Schaeffer; niece, Samantha Cates; and grandnephew Dei Schaeffer.
A funeral service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Friends may gather with the family from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on the morning of the service.
