

Leonard retired as chief city dispatcher from Yellow Freight System and later from Harmony/Emge School District #175 as a bus driver. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend. Len enjoyed family, music, playing golf, seeing his grandchildren's many activities, and his lifelong group of special friends, including his companion Betty Rule. He was a dedicated Catholic who had a wonderful sense of humor and a loyal concern and care for the people in his life. Leonard will live on through the stories he's told, the laughs he's shared, and the memories he's made with all who were fortunate enough to meet him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen M. Heidorn, nee McKinney, whom he married Nov, 11, 1958; parents, Leonard and Leona, nee Adams, Heidorn; sister Betty Ann Wade; and a brother, Donald P. Heidorn.
He is survived by his children, Craig (Lisa) Heidorn of O'Fallon, MO; Carol (Ron) Eiskant of Belleville, IL; Kelly (Dade) Farrar of Belleville, IL; Michael Heidorn of Belleville, IL; Susan Heidorn (Marc Manning) of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Dustin Eiskant, Natalie Eiskant, Shelbe Farrar, Jesse Farrar, Cassidy Farrar, Derek Heidorn, Courtney Heidorn, Alex Langford, Kimberly Kavanagh, Brad Melahn, and Delaney Manning.
