Leota L Hanvey

Mrs. Hanvey, was a retired cosmetologist. She was the owner and operator of Lee’s Beauty Salon. She was a member of the Belleville East 21 and Business and Professional Women’s Club. She was also, a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hanvey was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hanvey; parents, Wallace and Elda, nee Gerlach, Halt; siblings, Wallace halt, and Alice Halt.

Surviving are her children, David Hanvey, Kenneth S. (Carla) Hanvey and John (Jan) Hanvey; grandchildren, Bryan (Julie) Hanvey, Brett (Sasha) Hanvey, Brooke (Matt) Burke, Eric (Angela) Hanvey, Lindsay ( Brandon) White and Tara Hanvey; great grandchildren, Kameron Hanvey, Grace and Aidan Burke, Bennett Hanvey, Harper Hanvey, and Mason White; brother, James (Beverly) Halt; sister in law, Dorothy Halt, also survived by other relatives, family and friends.

Memorials in Mrs. Hanvey’s memory may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois, the Belleville area Humane Society or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
