Linda was one of those nice people. I’m sorry she was taken so early.

I met Linda when we moved next door to them in Smithton in 1976. Later we both moved to New Baden. Linda babysat our son in kindergarten and years later babysat our grandson. My kids will always remember Fluffy (the short hair cat) she gave us. She loved kids and animals.

Linda was loved by many and will be missed by all

Linda was a special woman to our family. She drove all three of my sons safely to and from pre-k for a total of five years. They loved “Miss Linda”! We all did. Now they are all grown men and she would still ask about them when we’d see each other. She touched many lives and will surely be missed. Our deepest sympathy to your family.

Dear Petrekovich family,
I knew Linda for many years, and my husband Bob has known Mike for many years. I went to meetings with her at Westview Baptist where I also met many of her sisters and her daughter Tara. Such great memories. She drove a school bus in Mascoutah where I live, and I would wave at her whenever I saw her. We had some great conversations on Facebook, she was so funny. I am so glad that I knew her. A beautiful person, so kind. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to Mike, her daughters, and family. Bob & Sybl Yankey
