

Lindell was born February 4, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL to Herschel A. and Nellie D. (Orr) Walker. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his former wife and friend, Grace Walker; siblings, Ada May Walker, Orville Walker and Andra (Charlie) Stucker; niece, Delila Donovan; nephew-in-law, Kenneth Willis and his beloved dog, Chica.
Lindell is survived by his daughter, Kendall Hughes of Belleville, IL; grandsons, Jonathan Walker of Belleville, IL, Elijah Halley of Granite City, IL and Andrew Halley (Elizabeth “Lisa” Dozier) of Pontoon Beach, IL; nieces and nephews, Charlotte Willis, Tom and Theresa Bauer, Charlie Stucker, Joyce Parker, Orville Walker Jr, and Johnny Walker.
Lindell spent his life working as an over-the-road and local truck driver. He was a dedicated employee and enjoyed the many beautiful sights he got to see while driving so many miles over the years.
He and his brother, Orville Sr. shared a love of model trains and throughout the years, shared many stories and collected beautiful trains that they both enjoyed and cherished.
Lindell loved his family and the time he was able to spend with them. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville with cremation arrangements.
