Loretta was born May 2, 1941 in East St. Louis, IL to Burt and Aline (Winters) Mullins. She married Robert “Bob” Reed in 1969. He survives and resides in Troy, IL.
Also surviving are her two sons, Bob (Maureen) Reed of Belleville, IL and David Reed of Troy, IL; two grandchildren; her brother, Stanley (Linda) Carnahan II of Caseyville, IL; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James Carnahan Sr.
Loretta worked at Southwestern Bell for 23 years. She was a talented organist and enjoyed painting. She was also an avid reader. She appreciated the beautiful things she was blessed with in life. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Loretta will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Valhalla Gaerdner Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
A funeral will follow, at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville. IL.
