He was born August 29, 1937 in Coulterville, IL to the late Lowell and Louise (nee Beyer) Isom.
He is survived by his brother Ronald Isom Sr. of Belleville, Illinois and two nieces and three nephews, Victoria (Sheri) Kanter from Naperville, Illinois; Lori (Jerry) Crenshaw from Colleyville, Texas; Ronald Jr. (Cindy) from Lexington, Kentucky; Roland from Belleville, Illinois; and Lowell (Susan) from Webster Groves, Missouri.
Born with cerebral palsy, Lowell was nonambulatory and was lovingly cared for by his parents and his brother for most of his adult life. He was an avid reader, and a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He spent his remaining years living at a CILA home operated by Cerebral Palsy of Southwest Illinois where he enjoyed his independence. He will be greatly missed.
Private family gravesides will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home with arrangements.
