Marilyn Joyce Linton

Marilyn was born July 7, 1933 in Litchfield, IL to Leo and Faye (Chambers) Lorenz.

She is survived by her three sons, Ken Linton of Collinsville, IL, Curt (Connie) Linton of Collinsville, IL, Craig (Laura) Linton of North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Stuart (Heather) Linton of St. Peters, MO, Tiffany (Blake Johnson) Linton of St. Louis, MO, Sean (Rachel) Franklin of Pasadena, TX, Jay (Stephanie Hall) Linton of Collinsville, IL, Matthew Linton of Holiday Shores, IL, Elizabeth Linton of Collinsville, IL, Ashley Linton of Hurst, TX, Shawn Stenberg of Ft. Worth, TX and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters-in-law, Pat Linton and Sherry Linton; and sister, Barbara Striplin.

Marilyn worked throughout her life as a homemaker, devoted to her loving family. She was an active member of First United Presbyterian Church of Belleville.

She loved playing golf well into her later years of life. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society. Years ago, she would make trips to Casino Queen and always seemed to be a lucky winner!

She enjoyed putting puzzles together and spending time with her family. The time she spent with them was always a blessing to her. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church of Belleville or to Ardent Hospice.

The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with services. A private family funeral will be held at a later date. Final interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
