Martin proudly served his family in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Collinsville, Illinois. He enjoyed computers and loved flying radio controlled airplanes. He was an avid lover of music; especially enjoyed new age music. Martin was a loving family man, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin M. and Hattie, nee Gedhart, Bertulis, Sr.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Betty R. Bertulis, nee Milkert, of Belleville, Illinois; his two sons, Allan M. (Jill) Bertulis, of Belleville, Illinois and Kenneth G. Bertulis, of Collinsville, Illinois; his granddaughter, Jennifer (James) Maine; his eight great grandchildren, Kastilla, Jakob, Kasondra, Louis, Kristina, Anthony, Sebastian, and Katarina; two sisters, Caroline (James) Hammond and Nancy (Frank) Wenglewski; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
