Myrtle E. Winter

Mrs. Winter was the oldest of 13 children. She was the manager of JC Penney Catalogue in Belleville and Reaban’s restaurant in Waterloo, Illinois. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in New Athens, Illinois and life time member of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post # 7710. Mrs. Winter loved crocheting, quilting and bowling. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Winter was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin T. Winter; parents, Alvin and Esther (nee Berthold) Weidemann; brothers, Maurice, Virgil, and Alvin Weidemann; and a sister, Hazel Studer.

Surviving are her loving children, Vernon (Toni) Winter of Hillsboro, Missouri and Darleen (Ronald) Conner of Lenzburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Rhonda Howard, Ellen McGee, Lisa (Danny) Montgomery, Cari (Chuck) Vincent, and Todd (Sonia) Winter; great grandchildren, Troy and Ryan Nastoff, Joseph McGee, Jessica and Tyler Hardin, Zachary, Olivia, Madeline, and Isabella Winter, Jenna (Logan) Spink, and Keaton Montgomery ; brothers, Wesley Weidemann and Wayne (Carol) Weidemann; sisters, Marie Richards, Doris Politsch, Gladys (Don) Parker, Alice (Lee) Mentel, Nadine Rowold and Joyce (Larry) Scace; brother-in-law, Oscar Studer; sisters-in-law, Lucy Weidemann and Mildred Weidemann; and many other relatives , nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating.
