OBITUARY
Myrtle A. Wolford
August 2, 1930 – February 12, 2021
Myrtle Wolford, 90, of Belleville, Illinois, born August 2, 1930, passed away February 12, 2021 peacefully at her home “The Farm”, surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to the love of her life, Dan Wolford, which she shared over 67 years of true partnership and happiness. Myrtle will forever be remembered for her true faith in God, her love of family, children, and close friends.
In life, Myrtle was a giver in that she always gave her time to help people and to spread the Good News of Jesus. She was a kindergarten teacher, a caregiver, and a helper to all who would take it. To meet her was to meet a lifelong friend. Myrtle always had endless love for her children and, in passing, she will be with God continuing to watch over her family. When you remember Myrtle think of a very special person, wife and mother. In heaven, Myrtle will surely be dancing, singing, whooping, laughing, and seeing all that God had planned for her. Let us rejoice in a life well-lived and well-loved.
Myrtle is survived by her husband Dan and her four children, Douglas, David, Drew and Katherine, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Remembering long summer days on “The Farm” with Myrt, Dan and the whole Wolford clan!
Fishing, goats on golf carts, bonfires and endless hours of card playing.
Calling out to the house and Myrt answering “It’s your nickle!”
Cheers to a “life well lived”
You will never be forgotten Myrt 😊

Mrs Wolford was my kindergarten teacher 50 years ago. I will never forget how loving she was to a little girl who didn’t want to be at school. Her caring heart and loving arms carried me through my first year away from home. I ran into her several years ago. I truly believed her when she told me she remembered me. How could she forget the crying girl she carried in her arms while teaching the rest of her students. She is the reason I became a 34 year kindergarten teacher. God Bless you Mrs Wolford. You are forever in my heart!

Our family will always remember Myrt and her thoughtful and loving letters she wrote to members of our family. As a giver and lifelong friend of my Mom and Dad, Mryt would continue to express her love for our family with more letters and phone calls even after my parents passed. We will always have fond memories of Myrt's strong faith in God and her love of our family.

I was Myrte's caregiver for a few months in 2019. I enjoyed my time with her and Dan so much. Myrte and I would often just sit at the dinning room table and drink coffee and talk like girl friends. She was pleasure. I loved listening to her stories of hers and Dan's relationship. Heart goes out to Dan, Doug, Dave, Drew and Katie.
Rest well in the arms of Christ Myrte

Myrt was a sweet soul that I am proud to have had a chance to be close to. Her unwavering faith in God was contagious. She volunteered her time at the Shelter Shop, which is where I met her! You will be terribly missed Myrt. Watch over us until we meet again! Love, Ellen
