Patricia Ann Reichling

Pat is survived by her children, Darryl (Gail) Reichling of Randolph, Vermont, Robyn Reichling of Carbondale, IL, Stacy (Steven) Kritzmire of Indianapolis, IN, James (Megon)Reichling of Barnhart, MO, and Bryan Reichling of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Sidney, Sierra, Skylar, and Sam Kritzmire, Kaydence Murphy, Kenzlie Murphy, and Kenadi and Kylie Reichling; sisters-in-law, Lynne Kuykendall and Murle (Pete) Pederson; best friend, Mary (the late Jack) Drummond; and numerous friends and extended family.

Patricia retired after 30 years as a civil servant from Scott Air Force Base where she was an administrative assistant to the Commander of the Support Staff Headquarters for the Mobility Air Command. She enjoyed her career and received many awards for her hard work and dedication. Pat enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by flowers and plants. Her four-season room in her home was like a tropical paradise!

She was always a country girl at heart who was no nonsense or about frills. Pat was very passionate about animals and in addition to horses and farm animals, owned several dogs. German Shepherds were her favorite breed and she had several throughout her years.

Pat was crazy about her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with some of them during fall and spring breaks. She also enjoyed shopping and finding bargains! She was a smart lady who had the biggest heart. Her kids could always rely on her for advice about anything at all. Her sense of humor and quick wit will be missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223. A service to honor her life is on Friday, April 24th at 10 a.m. following by interment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory. Memorials are appreciated to the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, Randy’s Rescue Ranch, or the Belleville Area Humane Society.
