Robert Andrew Martiszus

He was born May 09, 1936, to Andrew and Vera Martiszus from Washington Park, IL.

Robert served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Bob opened and operated his own barber shop in Fairview Heights, IL before continuing a career with the United State Post Office in downtown St. Louis.

Robert was an active member of St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, IL. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. Above all else, Robert loved his family and cherished the time spent together. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia Martiszus of New Baden, IL; Son, Timothy (Barb) Martiszus of Trenton, IL; Son, Christopher (Glenda) Martiszus of Rockledge, FL; Son, Phillip (Angie) Martiszus of Weldon Springs, MO; Son, Edward (April) Martiszus of Trenton, IL; Granddaughter Dana (Chris) Pederson of New Baden, IL; Grandson Andrew (Austin) Martiszus of Swansea, IL ; Grandson Jonathon Martiszus of Dallas, TX; Grandson Nathan Martiszus of Weldon Springs, MO; and Granddaughter Sarah Martiszus of Weldon Springs, MO; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Kenny Martiszus and sister, Doris Jean Schrieman.

A private family service for Robert will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with arrangements.
