Mr. Pirtle was the “neighborhood helper” always mowing lawns and taking care of neighborhood animals. He loved motorcycles, dogs, and riding his bicycle. Ron was a believer in health and fitness and was always busy tinkering. If there were no projects that needed done, he would create them. Nothing with a motor in the neighborhood was safe from his attention.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife who was the love of his life, Erma (nee Stevens) Pirtle.
Surviving are his daughters, Christy Pirtle of Lucas, TX, Vicky Jones of Daytona Beach, FL, and grandchildren, Amy, Alisha, Angie, and Robert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to either the American Cancer Society or Stray Rescue of St. Louis as Ron was passionate about animals.
Services: Graveside service at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
