Roy was a retired coal miner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Irene, nee Klotzer, Conklin; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Viola, nee Rebenstorff, Conklin, whom he married onDecember 27, 1947; children, Roy Conklin Jr., Ronni (Nancy) Conklin, Cletus Conklin, Jerry (Donna) Conklin, Paul Conklin, Joyce (Dennis) Lingston, Linda Prange, Pam Howe and Joanna (Hal) Keller; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Taylor; and sister-in-law, Tille Underwood.
