Ruth Ann Mabry, nee Daugherty, 78, of Belleville, Illinois, born August 6, 1940 in East St. Louis, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at home surrounded by family.

Ruth attended Grace Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois. She was a member of several golf and bowling leagues over the years and even bowled a couple 300 games. She enjoyed spending time outside with her late husband, Thomas, fishing. She also served as Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader for her children. She never missed an event for her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas R. Mabry; her daughter, Janet Mabry; her parents, Alney and Myrtle Daugherty; a sister, Virginia Eilers; a brother, Robert Daugherty; and a sister-in-law, Joan Bovinette, nee Mabry.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Karen (Michael) Saylor, of Highland, Illinois and Michael (Mary Sue) Mabry of Pleasant Valley, West Virginia; her grandchildren, Jacob Cook, Victoria Cook, Michelle (Brian) Giesegh, nee Mabry and Thomas M. Mabry; a great granddaughter, Lily Ann Giesegh; a sister-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Rokita, of Belleville, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Valhalla Gaerdner Hotlen Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Hal Santos officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
