Stephen Weik

He was born in Belleville, IL on August 10th, 1946 to Joseph and Alma (Kurtz) Weik.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, brother in laws Frank Atkins and Walter Atkins and niece Leah Weik.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Atkins) Weik of Millstadt, Illinois, children; Shelly (Joseph) Hedger of Edwardsville, IL ; Tamy Beltran of Smithton, IL; grandchildren, Matthew (Mindi) Weik of Longmont CO, Dirk Denning of Millstadt, IL; Amy Denning (Miguel Castaneda) of South Roxana, IL; Cory Denning (Samuel Jasper) of Belleville, IL; Joseph Woods of O’Fallon, IL, Rainy Beltran, Abigail Hedger of Edwardsville, IL; sister, Jo Ann (Ruddie) Borchelt of Kansas City, MO, brothers; Gary (Jackie) Weik of Bedford, TX, David (Margaret) Weik of St. Louis, MO, brother and sister in laws; Willard (Donna) Atkins of Trenton, IL; Patricia Atkins of Granite City, IL and many special nieces, nephews and cousins, especially cousin/brother, Larry (Barbara) Weik, New Baden, IL.

Stephen loved his life and his family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golfing, shooting, boating and woodworking. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. When anyone was with Steve, they could always depend on having a great time and many laughs.

At Stephen’s request, rites of cremation have been accorded. All services are private.
