Valaria Iona Hawkins

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Radford and Minnie Radford (nee Rogers); first husband, Herbert Becker Sr.; second husband, Robert Hawkins; grandson, Brian Scott Lueken.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Herbert Dale Becker, Lori Lueken and Nancee Becker; grandchildren, Rachel (Charles) Wittenberg and Cassidy Lueken; great-granchildren, Charlie and Conor Wittenberg, Tia and Brian Scott Lueken Jr.; son-in-law, Brian Lueken; sisters, Rita and Anita; dear friends, Sharon and Mary Ann; and her beloved Chihuahua, Rosie.

Val enjoyed taking road trips to Colorado with her late husband. She also enjoyed playing slots at the casino, gardening and watching wildlife, but most of all, she treasured spending time with her grandkids. Val was a generous and loving woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local humane society.

Visitation will take place at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 from 10 AM to 12 PM with a funeral service to commence at noon, immediately followed by interment at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
