

During Wayne’s life he owned and operated gasoline and automotive repair stations in Belleville. He became a race car driver for American Motors and broke many records. He owned and operated Lebanon Motor Car Company. He belonged to the Society of Automotive Technicians and the American Legion post 58. During the last few years of his life Wayne renewed his faith in Jesus Christ.
Wayne is preceded in death by his son, James Elmore; parents, Pet and Catherine , nee Schoenborn, Elmore; grandson, Benny Schwarz; twin siblings, Patrick Elmore and Patricia Conklin;
Surviving are his loving wife who he married on March 31, 1979 JoAnn , nee Purdy, Elmore; Children, Michael (Karen) Elmore, Dennis Elmore, David (Susan) Elmore, Wayne (Rhonda) Elmore, Jr., Cindy (Dennis) Shipman and Lisa (Mike) Parciack; grandchildren, Mandy, Dorothy, Katie, Kellie, Jaclyn, Allie, Jennifer, Amber, Beth, Brittany, J.P., Jeremy, Jr, Thomas and Joey, Heather, Ally and Jake; great grandchildren, Branden, Beau, Kadon, Braxton, Jacob, Sofia, Sunshine and Bryce; daughter in law, Clara Elmore; brother, Ed (Patsy) Elmore; also, survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, family and friends.

The family would like to thank the physicians in the metro area as well as in Orlando, FL, the staff at St Elizabeth’s hosp, Family Practice, VA Hospitals, John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks, the Belleville Veterans Clinic, Heartland Hospice and the many family and friends who have supported Wayne through illness.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 from 4;00 pm – 8:00 pm at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, with a 7:00 PM American Legion Ritual being Held.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with The Very Reverend John T. Myler officiating.
Interment will be held privately.
