Willis was a retired Tech Sergeant with the United States Air Force. He was a proud military man, who was honored and proud to serve his country, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Willis was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Pearl, nee Alexander, Phillips, Sr.; siblings, James Johnson and Alexzenia (James) Freddie.
Surviving is his wife Yvette, nee Heroux Phillips; children, Pearle Phillips, Jeannine Phillips, Ronnie Phillips and Beverly (Paul) Phillips; grandchildren, Reginald Johnson, Dominique Chaison, Alexia Athmer and Julian Phillips; great grandchild, Jadah Johnson.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
Service: Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at funeral home.
Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
