I will always remember Uncle Allan for the unconditional love he gave to his family and friends. In Matthew 6:21 it says, " For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Clearly, he treasured Anita and Sandy, as well as his sister Mildred.

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Allan is something I witnessed time and time again.... him locked arm in arm with Aunt Mildred, both grinning ear to ear like best friends! The warmth, love, and genuine friendship he so freely gave was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Growing up in Texas, there were not many opportunities for me to see Uncle Allan. However, my life is much richer for having known him.

My deepest and sincerest sympathy to Aunt Anita and Sandy.

Final goodbyes are always hard, but may the sorrow you feel today be replaced with warm memories of him.

Love, Mary

Uncle Allan was my favorite uncle. I remember he took me to the Iowa State Fair when I was a small child. I also remember him putting me on his lap and having me steer the car. I was scared to death. He was always a lot of fun and very caring to his relatives. I also remember how hard it was to get him up in the mornings. He loved the night hours. Anita & Sandy, you will always have memories of the great trips and family time you shared together. Alice Grindem Petersen

I was had the privilege of meeting Allan several years ago at daughter Sandi's home, and I was struck by what a handsome couple Anita and he made. We watched home movies shot on one of his ski trips. Allan could ski like a pro! My warm thoughts are with Anita, Sandi, and Allan's family and friends.

Uncle Allan was always my favorite Uncle. One of my most favorable memories as a teenager was the summer I was 16 and the several water skiing trips I had with Uncle Allan on Lake Washington and that same summer a fun filled salmon fishing trip. He will always be loved and live in our hearts forever.
