

Allen was born on November 7, 1961 in Seoul, South Korea to Jae Hak and Jong Ok Chon. At the age of 7, Allen immigrated to Honolulu, Hawaii with his family, where he lived until after he graduated high school. Upon his graduation from St. Louis High School, Allen eventually moved to and settled in Bellevue and attended the University of Washington where he met his wife Susie.
After marriage, Allen pursued a career in technology, where he found success in various companies such as NEC, Sony, Nokia and HP. In the meantime, his wife gave birth to their only son Michael.
Allen was an avid fan of the water as well as a shameless techie and car enthusiast. He also had a profound passion for people and his generosity and genuine care for his friends and family served as an inspiration for everybody around him. Allen was legitimately a force of nature and was fiercely driven in all that he did. His career, his relationships and any at all of his tasks were met with incredible tenacity. A man of admirable resolve and powerful dedication, Allen will be missed by the many lives he touched throughout his short time on Earth.
