

Angelina Wai Fong Liu of Kirkland, Washington, unexpectedly passed away on Monday November 3, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born in 1940 in Guangzhou, China, where she was raised by her mother while her father was in the US working to send money home to support them.
When she was a teenager, she met her lifelong friends Karen Ng and Annie Kueng, with whom she stayed in touch. Even when they emigrated to Vancouver, Canada, while Angelina and her family emigrated to Seattle.
She met her husband in Hong Kong where she became a Catholic. They had four children. Then in 1973, the family emigrated to the US and settled in Seattle. Angelina worked as a teller at various banks. She also worked as a hostess and cashier at Ivar’s Captain’s Table. Angelina enjoyed playing mahjong with family and watching NBA basketball games. She was an avid fan of the Seattle Supersonics. She also loved music and movies.
Angelina was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Peter. She is survived by her remaining three children and their families, four grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
The family would like to thank the Kirkland police department, fire department, and the paramedics. We also appreciate the staff in the Emergency Department and ICU at the EvergreenHealth in Kirkland for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial mass at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland on Wednesday November 12 at noon. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue at 2 pm. Followed by a reception at the funeral home.
