

Arley was born on November 24, 1927 and raised in the East Texas town of Marshall. He died at home in Bellevue WA on July 28, 2011. He leaves behind his devoted wife and best friend of 57 years, Elin Justice. He is also survived by their daughter Nell Justice and son-in-law Richard Colgren of Palmdale, CA; sister-in-law Marilyn Willats of Berkeley, CA; and his cousin Patty Whaley of Marshall TX, who was like a sister to him. He served as a Medical Corpsman in the US Navy during the Korean era. He met Elin while stationed at Bremerton WA. They settled in the Seattle area after he completed his military service. He worked as a Professional Photographer for a decade before joining Valu-Mart (which eventually became Fred Meyer), where he retired after 28 years as an award-winning Photo-Electronics Manager.
He flew model airplanes, and then became interested in rock hounding. He and Elin were members of the Bellevue Rock Club for many years. He was a good and decent man who was much loved. We Will Miss Him Forever. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Make a Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington. The funeral will be at the Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue on August 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m.
