Throughout her life, Bliss was fiercely independent and one could even say stubborn 😉. She went to nursing school before marrying Phil Killham in 1959. She was a dental hygienist before starting a family. She and Phil had five children. She loved being a mom, and loved being Nana to her four grandchildren.
She was always pitching in when needed whether it was helping run the rummage sale at Pilgrim Lutheran Church or the annual clean-up party at Triangle Swim Club.
Bliss loved gardening and looked forward to when the weather allowed her to be outside tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed baking and cooking – her baked beans and apple slab pie were staples at many a pot luck.
After her children were grown and out of the house, Bliss returned to the work force, getting her Nursing Assistant Certification, and spent several years working at Marionwood.
Bliss had a smart wit and a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and called her mother, sister, nana, aunt and friend.
