While we just met, under devastating circumstances, my heart aches for you and your entire family. His light will continue to shine within you and all those that he knew and loved. I hope you find strength in the love and support surrounding you. You will forever be in my heart.

Dear Mrs Kim, Dear Mother of Bugeon,

From the depths of sorrow and pain, dear sweet Bugeon has passed and I write in hopes that this message reaches you.  

As you may recall, we met briefly when you were visiting Bugeon while he was moving out, at 1445 Oxford St in Berkeley as I was owner/landlord.  

Bugeon loved you, his mom very much. He told me this. He had so much pride and gratitude for his mother and father, as he shared with me with very wide smiles, pride and glow. He knew how much you both loved him, willing to do anything for him! It was very sweet to witness this young man express so much gratitude and pride about his parents. 

I knew him for about 1 year and he was such a gentleman, courteous, funny, ambitious yet realistic that there are more things to life than money. He was very natural, joking several times how he would be happy with a quiet life as a cashier, owning some real estate like his parents, even though his business was going very well.  He aimed for a humble, simple life. That was so mature of him, for a young man!! I was so impressed. And equally so, he inspired me and taught me a lot. 

This leaves me to believe that as shocking and utterly heartbreaking his sudden departure is, dear Bugeon did live as a mature, wise man who knew more than his years. This leads me to believe that he came to this earth with wisdom, as an old soul already. And with the challenges of the world ahead, that he chose simplicity, peace, eternal love even if it’s not of this world.

I mourn deeply with you. Bugeon emailed me last week and I was looking forward to speaking soon. I will miss him dearly, as a mentee of sorts.  Yet I know that he is journeying to far more beautiful, peaceful and joyful adventures. Soaring!! Please reach out if you’re ever inclined to do as I would yet I do not have your contact information.
