Charlotte Joann McDonnell

She lived in Bellevue, WA for the last 53 years. Born in Pittsburgh PA on September 21, 1934, Charlotte was the daughter of Charles Joseph Faris and Helen Wargo Faris. She married Joseph McDonnell in 1955 and they had 3 children. She was widowed in 2015, after Joseph’s passing.

She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and worked as a Nurse for several years. As our family moved frequently, she stayed at home to raise her 3 children. When able, she came back to work as bookkeeper and manager of a doctor’s office. Those where her most independent moments.

Charlotte was a devoted lover of quilting and knitting. A passion she shared with her daughter. Going to quilt retreats and quilt shows were enjoyable activities. So was the accumulation of quilting and knitting supplies.

Known for her quiet kindness and selflessness. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her children, Joann, and Jeff; grandchildren, Patrick, Chris, and Jason.

The family will miss her dearly, but they find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
