Born December 29, 1998, in Bellevue, WA. son of Valerie L. (Merritt) Slezinger and Christian D. Patterson. Attended Redwood (Larkspur, CA), Liberty (Issaquah, WA) and Mercer Island (WA) High Schools.
Christian was a kind, loving, caring, compassionate, young man with a heart of gold. He was an athlete from an early age playing football, baseball, basketball, track and wrestling and wrestled and played football in high school. A lover of music and aspiring musician, he enjoyed sharing his artistic side through songs he created, work he’d done supporting groups and individual artists, creating clothing, and a variety of sketches and drawings. He took great pride in his music and sense of fashion. He was passionate about technology and built computers for himself and family members from scratch.
Christian is survived by his parents Valerie and Chris, Stepfather Ed Slezinger, sister Savannah (5) and Stepbrother Brandon (25). He also leaves behind his maternal Grandparents Tom & Carol Merritt and Carolyn Lowe and paternal Grandparents Ron Patterson and Celeste & Pat Fisher. He is also survived by many Aunts, Sarah, Jillian, Bridgette and Chelsy (maternal) Beverly and Leah (paternal), Uncles Paul (maternal), Shane and Matt (paternal) and many loving cousins Charlie, Avery, Sadie, Chloe (maternal) and Desi, Jake, Faith, Max, Whitney and Gracie (paternal).
Funeral arrangements have been made with Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Services for Christian will be held at 11:00 a.m., September 23, 2018 at Sunset Hills 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA.
The family requests that you come celebrate Christian with us and raise his spirit in joy. Please dress as Christian would’ve wanted, “Boujee casual”, which is how he enjoyed to live, “luxurious in lifestyle, yet humble in character”. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Christian to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) specifically related to dual diagnosis treatment for individuals masking their health issues with drugs and alcohol.
