Corinne Ellen “Connie” Roberts peacefully passed away at age 89 on February 10, 2014 in Kirkland, Washington.
She was born in Oakland, California to Frank and Ellen (Logan) Tricker on May 3, 1924. She was an only child. She spent her formative years growing up in San Francisco with a love to ride horses in fields which now surround the city of Burlingame.
Corinne’s mother ran a boarding house when she was in her teens. There she met Dale Maurice Roberts who was attending college. They were married at Dale’s parent’s home in Medford, Oregon on February 5, 1943 and Dale left a few days later to serve as an officer in the Navy during World War II.
As a result of Dale being in senior management of the “old” AT&T (PNB), she and her family resided and made long lasting friends in California, New Jersey, Washington, and Oregon until 1968 when they established permanent residence in various Seattle “Eastside Cities”. She was a homemaker for the most part of her life. She was ultimately characterized by her love for such diverse activities as playing bridge, riding horses, traveling, playing Keno and visiting friends and family members through her love for genealogy and putting the family pieces together in partnership with her daughter, Kathleen.
She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she always included dogs and cats in her family. She and husband Dale were also best friends and were seldom apart. Corinne had a “funny bone”, a great sense of humor that everyone that knew her appreciated, and a smile through good times and down times.
She is survived by Dale’s brother: Captain Richard S. Roberts (Ret) (Age 99) of Altamonte Springs Florida, Daughter: Kathleen E. Ribik of Woodinville, Son: David R. Roberts of Bellevue, Son-in-Law: Frank J. Ribik Jr., Daughter-in-Law: Emilia S. Roberts, grandchildren: Kimberly Renninger, Krisann Ribik, Kerrilynn Booth, Candace Roberts, Corinne Roberts, Debra Roberts and great grandchildren: Logan Booth, Nicholas Renninger, Sienna Booth, and Zara Casady.
Thanks to the Evergreen Hospital, Kirkland, WA., who did everything they could along with her daughter, Kathleen, to keep her well to be able to live in her home to her last day before joining her beloved Dale in heaven.
