Cynthia Joan Marr

Born on June 9, 1935 to Harry and Victoria Long, Cynthia was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, and later moved to Seattle, Washington, where she started her family. Cynthia was a remarkable woman whose compassion, determination, and grace touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

An entrepreneur ahead of her time, Cynthia launched her own business, Attorney’s Eagle Eye Service, in 1969, publishing a legal bulletin and later digitizing it. Her business continues to thrive today, after more than 50 years of helping attorneys throughout the Puget Sound area. She went on to become one of the first to create and sell her own software products, paving the way for women in the tech and business world. Cynthia also published several of her own Kindle books designed to help others organize and optimize their lives.

Beyond her professional achievements, Cynthia was known to light up a room not only with her stunning beauty, but with her style and flair. She loved tennis, traveling, and going on cruises, but nothing brought her more joy than dancing. Her laughter, warmth, and lighthearted spirit filled every room she entered.

She is reunited with her beloved husband, Ernie Marr, who pre-deceased her, and lovingly survived by her children: Michael Marr (wife Thuy, daughter Michelle), Christine Marr (children Stuart Wong and Sydney Wong with Sydney’s husband, Michael Knopf, and their son, great-grandchild Caleb Knopf), Corey Marr (wife Laurie), and Lisa Marr (children Austin Kihara and Nicole Kihara). Cynthia will also be missed by her long time companion, Tom Andrews. After she danced into his life more than 5 years ago, they have been inseparable.

Cynthia’s love and legacy will continue to shine through all whose lives she touched. Her family and friends will remember her for her boundless generosity, grace, and the joy she found in both life’s grand adventures and its simplest moments.

A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1575 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007.
