I'm sorry I did not know this site was available sooner.  It was my privilege to know Dan.  I worked with him for 13 years and in all that time I do not recall him ever being upset or angry.  When I think of Dan I think of him smiling and laughing.  He was a private man but start talking about sports and he really opened up.  I do, and will continue to miss him.  When you worked with Dan you could have a sigh of relief and be confident that everything was going to be taken care of.  I am so sorry for your family's loss but I hope you find some comfort in the fact that Dan knew virtually everyone at work, and everyone has the utmost respect for him.  I do, and will continue to miss Dan, and in my own mind I still imagine him how he was ... caring for others.  My prayers are with you - he was a very good man, and my friend. Hi this Jennifer Davies, Danny's wife.  I would like to thank all of the Overlake Hospital staff members who made their presence felt at Danny's memorial service {about 30 of you showed up}  Additionally, thank you all for signing this guestbook.  It has given our family great comfort to hear about Danny's life outside of the home.

Dan was an amazing husband and father!  It gives a solace to know that his friends at work thought so highly of him as well.

Dan, As one patient put it one night at work "DAN THE MAN". I wish that we could turn back time. Now I have 2 great stories to tell at work. First my son was born at Overlake 30 years ago and now my friend and coworker Dan. I truly miss working with you and working at Overlake will truly never be the same without you! I knew Dan for a long time.  He was my friend.  He always had a grin or smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.  He loved life, sports,l and music.  We went to a lot of music shows around town and listened to music in his car for hours, -- CDs not MP3s.  He had an independent spirit.  Dan will be sorely missed.

I was so sad to hear the news of Dan's passing. I was lucky to work with him over the past 10 years at Overlake. He had such a "can do" attitude and was always a team player. I will miss seeing his smiling face and hearing his stories about his beloved family and his enthusiasm for sports. He will be greatly missed by the Overlake community. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

Dan was a ROCK STAR! He never complained about his work and he always helped everyone. He was an essential part of making my nights go by faster and with ease. I depended on him. He usually talked sports, politics, music or about his wife and boys. His eyes would light up when he talked about his family. I loved working with him. I will miss him tons, especially when he was sitting in a chair and fell asleep and his head would bob around for a while before he woke himself up. He usually made me laugh too!

I met Dan 16 years ago, I was in 7th grade when I became friends with his sister Michelle. Years later, I had the privilege of working with him at Overlake. Thank you Dan for your kindness, caring, compassion for others, and your amazing work ethic. To the Davies family, my heart and prayers are with you all.

Hello Everyone:
My name is Jennifer Davies (Dan's wife).  I want to thank everyone in advance for sharing their sweet thoughts about my husband.  I met Dan when I was fourteen years old.  Dan was the love of my life and the void he leaves will never be replaced.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear this. My deepest condolences go out to Dan's family and friends. Dan and I used to always laugh when we would see each other, because the first time I worked with him, I didn't know him or what his role was. I wouldn't give him a whole lot of information about my patients when he was asking questions about them. Once I found out who he was and that he was supposed to be in the know, I confessed and we got a big laugh. Dan will truly be missed in the ER at Overlake. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

To Dan's family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sorrowful time.  Dan was a coworker of mine.  He was such a very sweet man.  He always had a smile, always showed compassion, was always willing to help. What a great guy! He will be greatly missed.

I am still very shock about what had happen. Knowing Dan for years, he was such a great person, and great worker to work with. I will miss him very very much!!!

I still can't believe Dan has passed away. He will be sorely missed by the Overlake ER staff. Dan was a great guy and a hard worker.  I'll miss talking baseball with him, since he was a encyclopedia when it came to stats.  I wish the best for his children and his family.
