A resident of Kirkland and Redmond for 54 years, she was an astute business professional who operated four beauty salons, two in Kirkland and two in Redmond, and was co-owner of Terry’s Flying A, a service station in Kirkland. Prior to owning salons, she was a manager and instructor at Charm Beauty School in Yakima; partner and instructor at Metropolitan Beauty School in Seattle; and was appointed by Governors Albert Rosellini and Dan Evans to the Washington State Board of Cosmetology where she served 12 years as an examiner, teacher and mentor to many students.
