

He was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles and Fern Brown on April 20, 1940. His family moved to the Pine Lake area of Issaquah in 1949. Dennis attended Issaquah High School, where he was student body president and an outstanding baseball player, graduating in 1958. He received a baseball scholarship to Seattle University, where he was also the manager of the men’s basketball team when it was a highly ranked NCAA team. (Recently he was inducted into the Seattle University Athletic Hall of Fame.) Dennis graduated in 1963. He then received an MBA from the University of Washington. A successful entrepreneur, Dennis founded Data Enterprises of the NW, a computer software company based in Bellevue. Dennis is survived by his two children, Dennis Michael (“Mike”) Brown, Jr. and Kellee Brown (Alejandro Pena Prieto), and his three grandchildren, Nicolas Pena Brown, Katherine Pena Brown and Dennis Michael (“Danny”) Brown III, as well as by four brothers, Jerald Brown, Timothy Brown (Roberta), Douglas Brown, and Thomas Brown, and former wives Karyn Gallagher Branham and Connie McCullugh Brown. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews.
