Dortha Lee "Dottie" Pope, formerly of Kirkland, passed away in Gig Harbor on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was 86, born on June 19, 1925 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to James W. and Lucy A. Ford. She was the youngest and last survivor of 15 children. Her husband Charles E. Pope, Jr., preceded her in death in 1977. "Dottie" was Registrar at Bellevue High School for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. She is survived by her four children, Dana Pope (Ken Chamberlain), Janis Arviso (Henry), Philip Pope, and Susan Draper (Steve); six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her fourth great- grandchild is expected imminently. A Celebration of Dortha Lee's life is also being planned a little later in the Fall in Surprise, Arizona. Arrangements by Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue. Graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Hills, 1215 145th Pl. SE, Bellevue, Washington, Friday, September 9, 2011, 10:30 a.m.
