Elsa was born in Manhattan, New York on January 21, 1925. In her early years, Elsa was a successful actress, acting in plays on Broadway and traveling the country on a Broadway production during WWII. After the war she married Howard, her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, and from then on she devoted her life to her husband and family. She was the heart of the family and home and played the key role in successfully raising her four children. This family devotion carried over to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved and spent a great deal of time with. Each of them lovingly called her “LG” (Little Grandma) or “GG” (Great Grandma) or "Gramma". Elsa enjoyed skiing, sailing and spending time at Birch Bay with her family and skiing and golfing with her close friends. Elsa leaves a great legacy and will always be remembered and loved by all who knew her.
