Emma was born July 4, 1926, in Powell, Wyoming to Niels and Emma Nielsen.
She graduated in 1944 from Powell High School, a member of the National Honor Society. Emma entered nurses training at St Vincent Hospital, Billings, Montana, and graduated in 1947, scoring the second highest state board exam for that year.
In 1948 she moved to Seattle, where she met and married David Morris. She worked in several area hospitals, the last being Overlake Hospital, retiring after 46 years of service there. Emma is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, husband David, and son Brian. She is survived by her daughter Catherine and son-in-law Kelvin Dahlgren, grandchildren Nils Dahlgren, Kaija Sturzen, Soren Dahlgren, Bryna Crawford, Shaun Morris, their spouses, and 8 great-grandchildren.
