A longtime resident of Bellevue, Washington, Bert lived a life marked by generosity, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to family. He was born on December 25, 1949, to Hilario and Maria Figueroa, and grew up in Pampanga, Philippines. Bert attended Adamson University in Manila and later worked at the Bayview Hotel before relocating to the United States with his wife and children in the spring of 1989. After a brief stay in Rockville, Maryland, he and his family settled in Bellevue, where he built a life and home filled with warmth and love.
Bert was well known for his talent in the kitchen, a passion instilled in him by his mother and carried throughout his life. Cooking was his love language; one he joyfully shared with everyone he met. The ultimate host, Bert always made sure no one ever left his home hungry or feeling unwelcome. He was also an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, cheering them on with pride.
Bert was the devoted husband of Elma Figueroa, a loving father to Marinell (Peter) and Allan (Andrea), and the proudest and best Lolo to his grandchildren, Will, Hailey, Ami, and Addie. He taught his family the importance of hard work, integrity, and putting family first, serving as a true role model to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
