We will miss Graham in Rhetoracles Toastmasters, Bellevue. He was a newer member and already helped with roles in our club, such as timer and grammarian, and had the courage to do impromptu speeches. His answers to challenging questions were clever with humor.   He seemed excited about giving his first speech. We are very sorry to lose a very interesting and nice person.

Theta Delta Chi fraternity at UW invited Graham to join our brotherhood in 1983, and we are glad he accepted. From the start, his physical and mental abilities impressed us. Here are some highlights:
Graham was mighty. He could do a handstand and “walk” down the hallway while doing it--something nobody else could do. As we used to say in the 1980’s: “Dude was buff.”  
Graham was a  musician. His drumming talent went beyond the traditional, and we appreciated the tunes Graham could play tapping on his cheeks with mouth open for sound. 
Graham was a leader. He led the pledge sneak during his first year at the house and left a humorous clue trail that the active members were able to figure out in time to join the party at University of Puget Sound’s Delta Delta Delta sorority. Pledge sneaks are a fraternity tradition where the incoming class of new fraternity members, also known as pledges, go off campus somewhere and leave clues for their other fraternity brothers to find them. Graham’s was the best pledge sneak ever, and a tribute to his thinking and sense of fun.
Graham was resourceful. He acquired (legally, of course) 3 beer kegs to enliven said pledge sneak, carefully transported in a classic Mercury Cougar. 
Graham was stylish. He pioneered ink-free body art by cutting the stars out of KZOK stickers and using them to create a star of un-tanned skin on his chest while sunbathing, back when people trusted the sun more.
Graham was friendly. The fraternity’s happy hours were enhanced by the beautiful friends he invited, and he had a talent for making people feel welcome.
But Graham’s contributions didn’t end when he graduated. Afterwards, Graham served on the fraternity’s board for something like 30 straight years, and nobody else comes close to that record. To top it off, he wore something Purple or Husky to every meeting. Graham was both generous and loyal.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Graham’s passing.  I’m sad for Graham’s community and family – the people who admired, adored and loved him, and to whom he brought joy, laughter, good advice and love.  I lost a close, loyal, dear and long-time friend.
I met Graham for the first time 40 years ago while considering which fraternity to join.  After meeting Graham and a number of other guys who later became close friends, I felt both at home, and felt like these were people who I liked, respected and wanted to be with.  I knew Graham was different when I met him, and liked him for that, and the other guys in the fraternity for accepting him for who he was and respecting him.  
Graham was initially both a friend and mentor to me.  While in college, I was a freshman when he was a senior, and he helped me learn about college and navigating different situations.  More importantly, he helped me learn about myself: what I was good at, where I had skills, how I could use those and how I could help.  Graham provided wise counsel and advice, all the while also being a great friend.
We continued our friendship throughout the years, ever since.  We regularly got together for lunch or breakfast, or an event to connect or catch up, and I valued that time and his friendship.  We’d often share a meal and talk about work, families, guys we knew, stocks we thought about, real estate and any new updates in our respective lives.  
Graham was one of the smarter people I know.  He had a great command of facts, and trivia, and a memory like very few people.  But far more importantly, he had a way with people…getting a sense for them, knowing how to make them feel good, or valued, and he had a knack for good advice, only when needed, and delivered in a clever, subtle but effective way.
I’ve thought about him every day since I learned the news.  And I sure miss him.  I’ll remember many great things about him.  I’ll grieve about this for some time.  But he's in a better place now.

To Graham's family, and most specifically to Angelo and Jeri,

I'm so sorry to hear of Graham's passing.  I want to share what a great friend and person Graham was to me.  We both went to Sammamish High School and to the UW, though did not know each other all that well.  However, on the first day of my first job out of college at Ahmanson Mortgage I noticed Graham in the office and went over to say hello.  We soon became good friends.  Graham was so influential in my life.  He helped me get an apartment, that was right below his, in Bellevue.  We spent a lot of time together talking about our jobs as appraisers, and had a lot of fun together.  Several months later, Graham heard that cut-backs at the company were about to happen.  Sure enough, I got cut, but Graham also told me about a job opening with a commercial appraisal firm.  I applied and got the job.  Several years later I was looking for a job and Graham connected me with Kevin Lahr at Continental Savings.  I applied and I got the job.  Graham and I kept in touch through the Appraisal Institute meetings and more recently on a personal level, often going to Dick's Burgers or the Crossroads Mall for dinner.

Graham was always so good at conversations and he was always a joy to be around.  There was never a dull minute with him.  He always had something interesting or fun to talk about.  And if there was ever a lull in the conversation, he could quickly jump to the next topic to keep things going.  I'm sure he is talking to God and his Angels right now and making them all laugh. 

I am going to miss him greatly.

I'm sorry for your loss.  Grahm and I played drums together at hyak Jr, high.  Although not close we shared a competitive love for drumming.  It impressed me how fast he could tap out rythm's with his fingers.  We lost track until the high school reunion were as part of the committee, he added an additional category most likely not to have the job they say they have.  It was hilarious.

To the Albertini and Bieber families:

Meeting Graham on one of Eileen's Hawaiian adventures was profound and created an indelible place in my heart for the man. I loved Graham "Snoopy" so very much.   He was so very inspiring and brilliant.  He taught me a great deal about how to be a good human.  I looked forward to our annual reunions and will miss him tremendously.
