

He was born in Tacoma, Wa on Jan. 31, 1941 to parents Guy Clamon McBride and Wanda Archibald. At age 18 he enlisted in the Air Force and served until 1963. He then attended the University of Washington and received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Guy worked in various jobs as an electrician and computer technician with his last employment at Weyerhaeuser where he worked many years until retirement.
Guy married Lita McBride on July 27, 1991. They were married for 34 years. He is survived by wife Lita, son Gary McBride, son Gabriel McBride, and grandson Gerelle McBride.
He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Wanda, and sister Barbara.
Guy volunteered for several years at St. James Cathedral doing whatever was asked of him. He was known for his sense of humor and was always quick with witty lines and funny observations. His hobbies were many and included playing piano, setting up model trains, building boats, gold panning, hiking, building radios and tinkering with electronics. He will be missed by all.
Services will be held at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, Wa on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 with a viewing at 9:30am and funeral Mass at 10:30am.
