Biography:
1953: Born in Seoul, South Korea on June 12th as the 4th child of Songwoo Shin and Byungho Kim. Born before her were her three older brothers, Hyungshik, Inshik, and Chunshik Shin
1963: During her Elementary school years, she moved to Osaka, Japan following her father’s appointment to the Osaka office of the Bank of Korea
1966: When she was in Middle school, she returned back to Seoul following her father’s appointment back to the main Seoul office of the Bank of Korea
1974: She gradated from Sudo Women’s Education University in Seoul with a Bachelors Degree in Applied Arts. After graduation, she got her first job at Mitsui, a Japanese trading company in Seoul, South Korea.
1977: She married Jae Dong Lee on March 26th in Seoul, South Korea
1980: First son Hyunmin Lee was born on April 5th in Seoul, South Korea
1981: Second son Hyunwoo Lee was born on August 5th in Seoul, South Korea
1986: She was baptized on December 25th at Yeongdeungpo Central Methodist Church in Seoul, South Korea
1987: She moved to Seattle, Washington USA on April 10th with her family following her husband’s appointment to the international division of Rainier Bank. For the next 32 years she lived a very prosperous life in Seattle, a dedicated wife to her husband and mother to her two sons. She was fluent in Korean, Japanese and proficient in English. She enjoyed gardening, traveling the world, cooking, dining, and playing golf.
2019: She passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 31st in Kirkland, Washington, USA.
