I am extremely saddened to learn of dear Dr. Khademi's passing. Amoo jaan.  I've tried to call him over the last several months with no luck and today via internet search I found out the sad news. He was my mentor, my trusted confidante, my friend, and so much more.   A very kind and wise soul. Intelligent, classy, and with much empathy for the world around him. 

I did not know Mr Khademi personally. I met him a few times in Trader Joe's when my children were young, about 15 years ago. Whenever I bought them fruit rollups (lavashak) they would sing a version of the happy birthday song in farsi but replace "tavallod" with "lavashak". He was so delighted that every time he saw them he remembered and bought them lavashak just to hear them sing the song. I never forgot his smiling face, and for years my kids assumed he was a relation of ours. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. 😢 I have so many great memories of him from participating at his organized shab e sher to singing his songs, dinner with him and Bahi khanum at my house and his and Bahi khanum's generous hospitality at his house. I remember once when I performed at one event in Seattle, he wrote a poem specially for me including my name which to date I treasured thanking me for my service. God bless his soul. Rest in peace 🕊️🕊️ dear Dr khademi.

Dear Bahieh,
My prayers are with you and your loved ones. I image you will have a beautiful ceremony for Iraj with family and many friends gathered the 10th of August. I am really happy to have met the two of you this spring. Your warm welcome made it a precious memory I will remember for the rest of my life.
