For my uncle:  James Doyle McBride
My Uncle Doyle relished the good things in life including music, travel, food and wine. He shared all these things with friends and with family with great ease and kindness. Doyle cultivated a love for the outdoors. Hunting or fish or to play pickle ball with his friends and family. The number of people who called my uncle Doyle a friend was a legion of people, from all walks of life.
My Uncle Doyle was loyal. His faithfulness to the important people in his life could be seen in the way he steadfastly maintained ties with his friends and family. From the streets of White Center, where he grew up, to Seattle and Bellevue, through the weddings, christenings, holidays, and now wakes and funerals that mark the arc of life, my Uncle Doyle could always be counted on to be there.
My Uncle Doyle was responsible. He supported his family and friends to the very end of his life. He made sure that others would be cared for after his passing. There was no end to his interest in seeing his family succeed in every possible way. And he was always there to offer a helping hand to lift up his family, friends and church. He assured that nothing stood in the way of achieving the personal and professional goals of his children, friends and family.
My Uncle Doyle was loyal. He loved my aunt Carol with every bone in his body. Doyle’s unflagging support for advancement and development of her career and life was evident to everyone. He created the perfect balance of all the good things in life. And by doing so created a wonderful childhood for my cousins. Today this notion seems like a lost American dream. And yet, he achieved this perfect balance.
Doyle had a quiet dignity, respecting himself the way he respected others, and nature.
Farewell, Doyle. You will be remembered fondly.

Jimmy Doyle was the best Dad  a guy could ever have.  He taught me alot through the years from how to ride a bike to how to start and run successful businesses.  There was a whole lot of great memories growing up as a kid from camping at Alta Lake, graduating to snowmobiling in the Cascades, multiple trips fishing in Alaska & Mexico, motorcycle riding to Sturgus, Calif,  Mississippi, Washington, Montana , and the last great memorie just this time last year when we cruised the Medeterainian.   He loved his books every step of the way, and never complained about anything, and I gave him alot of reasons to!  I love him and miss him like no other.  Love you Pops!
