Janice Lowell Levis of Bellevue WA passed away peacefully on July 9, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born in Berkeley CA to Dr. Walter and Bertha Vanderbilt Lowell on May17,1921. A longtime Bellevue resident, Jan worked at Nordstroms when it first opened in Bellevue. She was active in the PTA and was awarded the Golden Acorn. Jan also volunterred for many years at the Children's Hospital Thrift Shop. An avid bridge player, knitter, and gardener she also enjoyed attending the opera, theater, and ballet and travelling with family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband Donald Levis. She is survived by her brother Charles (Audrey) Lowell, daughters,Susan(Peter) Renhard, Laurette(Roger) McAllister,granddaughters,Ann(David) Cole, Gina (Barry) Parshall, Margaret Leigh Renhard(Josh Medsker) ,and great grandchildren, Marshall and Eliza Cole and Aidan and Kaelan Parshall. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue, WA.
