Jean Vanlaningham Rockwell

Beloved wife and mother, born June 17, 1926 to Helen and Eldon Vanlaningham, Jean passed away November 2nd, 2010 after a long illness. Jean lived a life of happiness and optimism, always finding the bright side of life.

Jean was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Robert "Rocky" Rockwell. She is survived by her brother Glen Vanlaningham (Janice), children Janet Nontell, Centralia; Joyce Kercher (Jim), of Renton; David Rockwell, Seattle; Carol Vey (Darin), of San Marcos, CA; and Brian Rockwell (Loma), Bellevue. Jean is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, with numerous interests, Jean loved playing bridge, making ceramic figures, garden club, camping, square dancing, entertaining, and anything that gave her time to spend with her family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Alzheimer's Association.

A celebration of Jean's life will take place on Friday, November 12 at 2:00 pm at the Garden Room, Corwin Center at Emerald Heights, Redmond, WA.
