Jenny Bik-Jin Fong Yee went to meet our Heavenly Father on April 8, 2022. She passed peacefully in her Renton home. To the end, despite her end stage Alzheimer’s, she could sing all the songs in Sound of Music, play a competitive game of Mahjong, and laugh at the humor in I Love Lucy.
Jenny was married to James S. Yee on December 15, 1950 in Hong Kong. Following James’ work, Jenny had five children across three different cities. She loved to travel. Her cruises took her to Russia, China, Mexico, Panama, Jamaica, and all over the United States of America. While not traveling abroad, Jenny enjoyed shopping, sewing, cooking, and gardening. She was a member of Chinese Baptist Church and attended Chinese Adult Fellowship.
Jenny is survived by her husband of over 70 years, James Yee, and her siblings, Janice Wong, Genevieve Yee, Elizabeth Wirth and Rick Fong. She is gratefully remembered by her surviving children, Judy Wong (husband, Roland), Gary Yee (wife, Esther), Doris Yuen (husband, Don), Jeannie Toy (husband, Ken), Karen Chan (husband, David), 20 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
A private burial service was held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on April 28. A Celebration of Life will be held at Chinese Baptist Church on Saturday, June 4, 12:00 pm. Remembrances can be made to Kin On or Chinese Baptist Church. A thoughtful and kind sister, a sweet and faithful mother and wife, and a funny and generous grandmother and great-grandmother, Jenny will be missed by all.
