

Jerreldene (Jerry) Newberry Reiman, 85, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Bellevue, Washington, surrounded by her family and caregivers, following a sustained battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jerry was born April 2, 1926 in Rock Island, Washington and grew up in Cashmere, Washington. She graduated from Cashmere High School in 1944. Following graduation, she enrolled in college and graduated from the Army Nursing program as a cadet in 1947. She worked at St. Anthony Military Nursing program, where she met Eldon H. Reiman and later married him in 1948.
She and her husband worked in Wenatchee and had three children. She was a loving wife, and full-time mother. After her children were grown, she worked in the adult assisted living nursing program until she retired. She had four grandchildren, whom she dearly loved; Stephen, Lindsey, BreAnn, and Kylee.
Jerry is survived by her sister, Bertha Gronberg of Montesano; brother, Hugh, of Cashmere; children, Dale (Pam) Reiman of Tri-Cities; Richard (Edda) Reiman of California; Joanne (Mike) Schafer of Camano Island, Washington.
The family wishes to thank the staff, and caregivers, of Sunrise Assisted Living Center for their loving and dedicated care of Jerry throughout her illness. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made, in Jerry’s name, to the Alzheimer’s Association of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Home of Bellevue, Washington.
