

Joan was born February 25, 1929 to George Hamilton and Nell Reba Nuzman Bell in St. Luke’s Hospital in Bellingham, WA. She graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle, in 1947. On August 24, 1953 Joan married Charles (Woody) Loney in Kootenai, Idaho. They later divorced in 1969.
The Boeing Company employed Joan for over 42 years. In her active years she loved playing bridge, attending Seattle area sporting events, the opera and theatre, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the drill patrol of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Ahmes Court #41 until her move to Stafford.
Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Sharon Pulliam of Burien, Terry (Mary) Bell of Seattle, and Patricia (Charlie) Nau of Missoula, MT; great nieces and nephews, Kim (Jack) Choi of Burien, Brian (Colleen) Pulliam of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Pelley of Seattle, and Kevin (Angela) Bell of Burien, Andrew (Jennifer) Nau, Terry Nau, and Kenny Nau all of Missoula, MT, and many great-great nieces and nephews, as well as a life long friend, Donna Pratt of Issaquah. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Bell, sister’s in law, Betty Stevenson and Phyllis Bell, and nephew Mike Bell.
Joan received excellent care from the Franciscan Hospice staff, especially Matt, Kevin, and Joanna and her family wishes to express their gratitude to them, as well as to the staff at Stafford Healthcare.
