OH, HOW WE MISS JOSEPH..OUR  NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATIONS,OUR DINNERS TOGETHER WITH THE HOLMES,THE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION ON THE DRIVEWAYS AND THE TRILOGY SINGERS PERFORMANCES WITH YOUR DEEP,STRONG VOICE.

EARL ENJOYED THE CHATS ON THE TRACK AND VISITING WITH JOSEPH AND SOPHIE ON THEIR WALKS THROUGH OUR CAMPUS.

WE WERE VERY MOVED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PARTICIPATION OF SO MANY FAMILY MEMBERS.WE LEFT THE CHURCH KNOWING THAT JOSEPH LEFT BEHIND A WONDERFUL LOVING FAMILY......

Dear Liz: My wife and I were so saddened to hear of Joe's death. While we had not connected at the ball park this summer, we just assumed that our tickets hadn't meshed. We'll miss him at the Spring draw. When I first became part of the group all those years ago, Joe was the first one to really befriend me and make me feel as if I belonged. I so appreciated his kindness. I will always remember him for his love of the game. I suspect that when he was called "out" for the final time, Joe probably didn't argue with the umpire. Just not his way. 
Take care and maybe we'll see you at the Safe next summer. You and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Liz, John, Allison and Dave,
What I remember most about Joe was his terrific sense of humor. He was always telling a tall tale or cracking some joke. Thankfully he shared that characteristic with his lovely wife and passed it on to his three wonderful children. The world is a far better place because of Joe and the universe is smiling more because of you kids. You are all much loved and in my heart forever.

Dear Walsh Family,
So sorry to hear of your loss.  I hope all your fond memories replace the sadness you are feeling now.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Liz and family,

I am sorry to say we have never met and I have lived just behind (neighbor of Earl and Barbara Headman)you for over 5 years.   They have talked about you many times so I feel like I have known you both.   

I send my sympathy and prayers to you.  The 9th of Oct. it will be 3 years since my hubby left for his heavenly home so I am sure he and Joe are becoming good friends.   He sang in the Holy Family Choir for over 40 years so they will have lots in common.

Take care of yourself, Liz, and maybe someday soon we can meet.

Joe Walsh has left campus.

For those of you who don't understand the last sentence let me clue you in on our little private joke.  Joe always told me that he didn't like leaving campus.  He felt at home here on the Trilogy campus.  On September 19, 2010, Joe made his final trip from campus. 
From here on, I'll refer to our relationships as Joe, Liz, Sharon and myself.  In 2002, Sharon and I moved into Trilogy. Liz and Joe followed in the fall of 2002.  Of the four of us, Joe was the most reluctant to move on campus.  However, as time moved on, Joe was the one who became most involved in the Trilogy activities.  Those activities included The Trilogy Singers, swimming in the early morning (in his Speedo], playing his new learned sport of pool (he especially enjoyed playing with Kevin Blowers and his father), and walking Sophie on the many trails here in Trilogy.  Joe and Sophie became active in the Therapy Dog visitation program.  Although, Joe was reluctant to move into Trilogy he became one of our most happy residents.
Sharon and I have spent many a day or evening socializing with Joe and Liz.  Many times either they or we would call, on a spur of the moment, and ask if we were up to going out to dinner.  Off we'd go, especially if it was on our Passport card.  Just ask Joe or Liz what is a good place to eat and they would give you a great recommendation.
 Oh, how Joe could tell a story.  I can't tell you how many times he had the three of us in stitches. Liz can remember the story he would tell of the time a fellow FBI agent picked him up to go to lunch.  His fellow agent was driving and the driver's wife was in the back seat.  Joe started visiting with the wife and, after a period of time, Joe finally turned around to speak to the wife when he discovered the wife was not talking to him at all but was on her cell phone to someone else.   What a hoot.  That was Joe.  Another favorite story that Joe told several times was the following.  Joe had been reassigned or assigned to the west coast.  They were living on the east coast-New York or the Washington D.C. area, whichever.  Joe was in a carpool with fellow agents at the time.  When he got the notification of his transfer, he announced to the pool that he would be leaving the carpool group.  Upon his announcement of his transfer, one of his fellow agents asked him what he would do if he became ill out here.  No medical facilities in the â€œwildâ€ west?  
With a name like Walsh, Joe and Liz are obviously Irish.  For the last seven years, the Irish community here in Trilogy have had their annual St. Patrick's Day dinner.  Many of us in Division 1 have made it our goal to attend.  One of my fondest memories of those dinners is this year when Liz got up and did her Irish jig.  What a performance.  I turned to look at Joe and you would not believe the smile upon his face.  He was so proud of his bride.  They did love to dance with one another and they reminded me of how much Sharon and I used to like to dance too before the ol' knee and hip went out.
And, oh yes, even though, being an Irishman, no man could wear a French beret better than Joe.
We have many fond memories of our eight years here in Trilogy and most of them include Joe and Liz.  Thank you for being our friends and neighbors.
Joe has left campus for a better place.

Uncle Joe was one of my favorite uncles.  I always admired his sense of humor, his story telling ability and his perspective on life.  I will always have fond memories of dinners with the Walshs in New City with Uncle joe at the head of the table telling jokes (not so fast Seaman Abernathy).   He made those dinners so fun - he really knew what life was all about; laughter and family.  My condolences to Aunt Liz, John, Dave, Allison and their families.

We knew Joseph from neighborhood block parties at Trilogy, and I knew him from the Talent Show last year.  He was a wonderful person and we will miss him.  Our deepest condolences to his family.

My memories of Joe are so special during the time we worked together at the FBI in Seattle.   What an addition to the office he was with his sense of humor, upbeat personality and stories of the New York Office that he shared with all of us.  It goes without saying that he was a fine Agent but he was also always so proud of his wife, Liz,  and children.  I always kidded him about having a "doctor, lawyer and nurse".  He always answered with "what more could he need when he got old?"

 We worked together on the FBI Recreation Association's Xmas and spring parties and he made all those occasions fun and memorable.
He was also well known in our office for his poems that he crafted for individuals for special occasions - anniversaries, retirements, etc.  I cherish the one that he did for my retirement party five years ago.

Liz and family - please accept my condolences on this sad occasion but hopefully take comfort in knowing that he was extremely well liked and truly one of the "good guys".
