

Our Beloved mother, Julianne Johnston Henrie (nee Davis ), shuffled off her mortal coil on the year of our lord, February 22, 2023. Julianne was born on October 19th, 1931, in Portland Oregon to Dorothy Randolph (Clarke)Davis and Monroe Garfield Davis. A young Julianne moved with her family to Seattle, Washington in 1940.
Julianne attended Garfield high school where she was a reporter for the school newspaper, and was a member of the creative writing magazine “Pen” and “Arrow”
Julianne was also a member of the honor society and was awarded the “Faculty Scholarship “
She attended the University of Washington a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Majoring in Dietetics. She interned at Highland Alameda County Hospital in Oakland California. After completing here internship, Julianne worked for the University of Washington’s Medical Research Project, in the school of Medicine, and the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Julianne met her husband, Harold Paavo Henrie MD at University of Washington who proceeded here in death in 1978. Together they had 5 children, Kathleen Smith, Jennifer Woodhouse, Matthew Henrie, Earnest Henrie and Walter Henrie. She was a devoted mother who put family first.
Walt Disney once said” imagination has no age.” This is evident in Julianne’s wide variety of interest, enjoying pastel painting, where she won numerous awards for her artwork. She wrote poetry and had several her poems published. She had lifelong love of Shakespeare, and frequently would refer to the immortal Bard, or passages from the Bible . She also had a passion for science and Albert Einstein. Furthermore, you just can’t pass Julianne and not think pink is her favorite color and she was a huge Disney fan. She loved everything about Disney. Her imagination was endless.

With all her interest and accomplishments, it’s important to say, she loved her family best.
