Dr Ken loved his kids - he was our dentist for a 35 years … from the time I was 25 to 60.  I don’t think there was ever a visit that he didn’t mention his kids and his mom before she passed. A good guy excellent dentist and intellect, very sorry to hear of his passing.

Ken was a caring dentist and a wonderful curious conversationalist over the 35 years he worked with our family.     A thousand questions about everything in the world as soon as he got his hands in your mouth!   Who else could make  me look forward to a trip to the dentist?     We’re so, so sorry to learn of your passing, Ke n.    We will miss you!

Ken Nishimoto was my dear friend for 46 years. He also was our family dentist the whole time.  We lunched together often and chatted about all the inventions he had dreamed of making.  None of his ideas were without merit and each had its roots in solving some ill that had plagued someone.  His favorite saying to me was “Let’s think outside the box on this one”...  I have a file folder on my computer full of research I had done on his ideas titled simply Ken’s ideas...  He was a part of our family in many ways, he came to our son’s weddings.  He would comment on our comings and goings, and in return he would share bits of his life with me, especially how proud he was of his sons.  He had a remarkable sense of place and location, almost like he had a little built in GPS of the Northwest down to California.  He seemed to know everyone and every place.  Dr. Ken was loved, a great achievement in life and each day he brought relief to so many people through his dental office.  As I was transitioning he would numb my face at no charge so my electrolysis treatments wouldn’t be so painful.  He never asked why I was doing them, just how could he help.  Dr. Ken and Jennifer were some of the very first people I came out to and they never skipped a beat in being caring and supportive to Cathy and Cady.  I am a much better person having known Dr. Ken Nishimoto, he has made a difference in our lives over the years.  Saying goodbye brings much sadness and each time we pass that little office at five corners in Burien we will remember you Ken and all the years we got to experience together...  Our greatest condolences and prayers for the Nishimoto family.
